Danny is a nationally recognized nurse leader whose practice focuses on improving the quality of care for patients. He achieves results by leveraging his extensive experience to effectively interact with clinicians across the continuum of care. Complex project management, performance improvement, operations work flow, information systems, data analysis, health care policy, and health literacy are all skills Danny routinely uses in his practice.
Danny’s special interest, the experience and empowerment of people at the center of care (patients, caregivers, clinicians, direct care, and support staff) has lead him to an active role in the review of grant applications for the Patient-Centered Outcome Institute (PCORI) and co-chairs its Communication and Dissemination Advisory Panel. Additionally, he advises AHRQ about Shared Decision Making; teaches in the Organization of Nurse Leaders’ (ONL) Leadership Academy; is a member of Health Information Systems Society’s (HIMSS) Quality, Cost, and Safety Committee and the Beryl Institute; and is active in the OpenID HEART (Health Exchange Trust) work group.
